The corporate development of M.A.i now extends over more than 20 years. The origin was in 1991. The first switches were with the company "Jürgen Hoffmann Automatisierungstechnik At October 1994 the company "Hoffmann Automation GmbH & Co. KG" was founded. Four years later the "Ingenieurbüro Schwab" was founded with 5 employees into the buildings of "Hoffmann Automation GmbH & Co. KG" shifted. On 04.10.1999 the "M.A.i GmbH & Co. KG" and in the following years, in addition to the production area the number of employees will also be continuously increased.

2011 was another highlight. Because M.A.i managed the move into your new plant in Kronach/Neuses, where also very large automation systems can be realized.

Today, M.A.i. has about 190 employees and offers already in the new plant with 18000 m2 Hall area and 7000 m2 production area provides very good conditions to meet future automation requirements of our customers.

Since mid-2014, the managing directors of M.A.i have been Mr. Rainer Knaak, Mr Arthur Schwab, Mr Hermann Fischer and Mr Markus Orlowski.

On 29.11.2014 it was time.

In addition to the main plant in Kronach/Neuses there is now also our subsidiary in Ningbo - near Shanghai.

Our new location in China was officially opened. We were allowed welcome numerous customers and suppliers at our celebration. The guests were represented by Mr Florian Baumgarten (Director M.A.i China), Mr Rainer Knaak and Mr Arthur Schwab (both Managing Directors M.A.i Germany) were warmly welcomed. On the occasion of the inauguration fireworks are not missing. Afterwards the management the historical development and the range of services of the company M.A.i.

After a joint lunch, the new M.A.i plant was opened by explored with great interest by all those present. Afterwards followed Expert lectures. One lecture was held by Mr. Arthur Schwab (M.A.i), one further lecture Mr. Levies Zhang (STÄUBLI HANGZHOU MECHATRONIC CO. LTD.) and Mr. David - Wei jun Wu - (ABB Engineering Shanghai Ltd.) gave also a lecture. Thanks to all speakers at the Housewarming. The conclusion was a cosy "Get together".

The M.A.i. would like to thank our partners, who support us in the establishment of our subsidiary in China. Special thanks we would like to address to the company Sumitomo Demag, company NEP (Ningbo-Eagle Plastic Products Company), Tigerz International and the company CSI.

We are proud of the reactions of our guests. This was consistently very positive and is at the same time the confirmation of the right way with opening of the new location. In China we see a great demand for automation, which we meet with our innovative automation systems and will continue to do so.

Initially, a service centre will be set up and, from January 2015, will be operated with 2-3 Service engineers occupied. Thereby we achieve an even better service and guarantee even faster availability with our customers. The focus is also on maintaining contact with existing customers in China.

To date, M.A.i. has invested a total volume of approximately €10 million in China and in the medium term, the goal is to realize and build market share with existing customers, and to introduce new customers to I'm going to win this place. We will increase the number of local employees in 2015, in the construction of assembly and automation technology for the local market in China.
